UTI

Question
i had a right kidney stone of 7mm six months back and i was treated using cystone tablet.After six months symptoms of UTI occured.After urine culture i was found with more than 1 lakh bacteria and i was given cifrofloxycin 500 mg for 2 weeks.After stopping the antibiotic the same symptoms reappears and the urine test after taking antibiotic showed 2-3 pus cells.

my question is whether stone is creating UTI or bacterial infection tell me the remedy

The presence of pus cells alone in urine does not signify infection. A Urine culture must be done every time for confirmation. Treatment with a proper antibiotic based on the culture is the remedy. Your present urine report does not suggest the presence of a UTI.



It is quite likely that the stone is causing the infection. If you have repeated infections, the stone must be removed and analyzed.
