High Creatinine Level.

Question
Dear Sir,

My name is Shakeel Ahmad and I am from Pakistan. Sir, my mother is a 60 year old woman and she has the problem of high creatinine and urea (4.8mg/dl and 220mg/dl). She is a cardiac patient and was operated for angioplasty in August, 2009. Her blood pressure is constantly going low since angioplasty (90/60) and she is also anaemic. Sir, what can we do to:

1) Lower her creatinine and urea and

2) Which type of diet is good for her keeping in view her present condition.

       I will appreciate your reply.

Answer
Hi Shakeel,

Thanks for asking my help on "Allexperts".

A careful history, physical examination, lab tests and imaging of the urinary tract are required to diagnose your mother's condition. Please get her evaluated by a Nephrologist.

Specific remedies can only be suggested after a proper diagnosis is made.

Sincerely,

Dr. Shah
