hello i have polycystic kidney i have four small cysts on right and three on left biggest one is 20mm my creatine is 1.3 since finding out i m on a strict low sodium diet and low protein and have lost 18 pounds,my question what does the creatinie have to be to indicate end stage renal faliure and require diaylisis.

Serum Creatinine is an indicator of the glomerular filtration rate (GFR), which in turn depends on the age, ethnicity and muscle mass. GFR values below 15 ml/min/1.73 m2 indicate ESRD and the need for dialysis.
