Low EGFR

Question
I have been taking Lithium for 23 years and have been stable.  My blood work just came back that the EGFR is 59 (low by 1 point) outside of range.



Should I be concerned.  How should I manage my kidney function tests now.

Thanks for asking my help on "Allexperts".



All patients on lithium do not develop kidney disorders. Please get a 24 hour urinary creatinine clearance, which is more reliable than an eGFR estimation.
